Scattered Legacy is the third (and thus far, final) installment of the Annalisse trilogy. This story takes place a few months after Spent Identity ends, when Annalisse and Alec are getting their lives back together. Alec has decided to sell his father’s company, and pursue his own interests. Alec plans a business/pleasure trip to Italy, to finalize the sale of the car company, and to take Annalisse to Italy for a vacation. In true Annalisse/Alec fashion, nothing goes to plan. They seem to attract trouble, and then are running for their lives.

The positives: This book is fast paced, and you can quickly read it in a few days if you dedicate time to it. It will keep your interest, especially if you like adventure books or books where the characters travel to foreign countries/Europe. Although there was not much description of Italy and the things that they saw there, you definitely get the vibe that they are in the “Old World” and that they aren’t in New York anymore. A change of venue from the last book was definitely needed. The scope of the book was big, touching on past grudges, the Italian Mafia and relics from a long ago time, but I would expect nothing less from the Annalisse saga. The author manages to pack a lot into each book (as in, multiple story lines) but they all manage to come together in the end.
