Spent Identity is the second installment of the Annalisse series. In this book, Annalisse and Alec are on the rocks, and trying to navigate their changing lives after the adventure that they experienced together in Book 1. They love each other, but don’t know if they are the right fit right now (a right person/wrong time situation). Annalisse has to figure it out, and Alec also has some things that he needs to sort out, in order to keep Annalisse happy. Annalisse goes to visit her beloved aunt, Kate, to seek advice on what she should do with Alec. While at Kate’s farm, she, Kate and Ethan (the hired farm hand) find a dead body in the barn. The trio then is forced to go to Alec’s estate, while the police investigate the murder. Not long after arriving, Kate disappears from the estate without a trace, forcing Annalisse and Alec back into investigative mode again.
