This story is a wonderful piece of historical fiction, especially for those who may need a change from the World War II historical fiction the genre is full of. This is a breath of fresh air, and I enjoyed it A LOT!

Lillian is a 21 year old artists’ model, for the past six years using her body as the model for many of the statues around New York City. She went by Angelica, and her mother was her “agent”, organizing and making sure that the modeling appointments were on the up and up.
